ASL Volunteer Opportunity

Deaf Spotlight is presenting a play for this fall called Broken Spokes
(more info: http://www.deafspotlightpresents.com/)! They are looking
for volunteers to help with the event. Here are the dates and times:

October 19 from 9 am to 12 pm at the HSDC- unloading/setting up the
stage – 4 volunteers

Nov 2 from 9 am to 3 pm from HSDC to UW Ethnic Cultural Center-
loading, transport, unloading props – 4 volunteers 

Nov 8 to 10 during performances: (3) stage crew, (4) ushers & (2)
selling merchandise
Nov 8, 5 pm to 9 pm (4 hours)
Nov 9, 1 pm to 5 pm (4 hours)
Nov 9, 6 pm to 9 pm (4 hours)
Nov 10, 1 pm to 5 pm (4 hours)

Nov 10 from 5 pm to 8 pm – taking down the stage, loading to the
truck- 6 volunteers

The required dress code would be a shirt provided with a Broken Spokes
logo, black pants (still in the works).

(aslc@uw.edu). If you have specific questions about the event, please
go to the website and find their email and ask them.

Lance and Kristi has provided Deaf Contact hours for this
opportunity.While this is encouraged for advanced signers, Deaf
Spotlight will accept all volunteers! This is a great way to really
dive in a Deaf community setting and be exposed to different signers.
