Do you have conversational skills in ASL and a passion for working with young children? Come be paired one-on-one with a child in our Parent-Infant Program to provide bilingual ASL and English language modeling and individualized care. Volunteers are asked to commit for the entire month so that they can be paired with the same child throughout the five weeks to promote bonding and development.
Date: July 1 – July 29 (Monday nights)
Time: 6:30-8:00 p.m. *Volunteers arrive at 6 pm to setup classroom*
Place: HSDC Seattle office: 1625 19th Ave. (Madison Valley)
Volunteers must have an ASL skill level of 3 or more and will are required to meet with the HSDC Early Learning Coordinator to assess language skills prior to beginning their volunteer assignment. We are looking for volunteers who are positive and enthusiastic in working with children primarily between the
