The Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) is recruiting individuals to interview students in Grades K-5 who are learning a foreign language this summer in a STARTALK program (http://startalk.umd.edu/). Interviewers will conduct scripted interviews in English about the student’s summer language learning experience.
Data collection will take on the mornings of July 10-11 in Seattle.
The expected time commitment is 2 days total, including self-paced training, interviews, and follow-up. Compensation is $150.
- Experience working with children ages 5-12
- Use of a PC laptop computer (not Macintosh)
- Transportation to the program site via public or private transportation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High level of oral and written fluency in English
