Following the success of the first conference in 2011 in Edinburgh, we at UWE Bristol are pleased to announce the ULAB conference 2012 – run by and for undergraduate students of linguistics and English language.
The second Undergraduate Linguistics Association of Britain (ULAB) conference is due to be held in the beautifully historic and multicultural city of Bristol on the weekend of the 14/15 April 2012, with a pre-conference social on the 13th, at the University of the West of England.
Registration and abstract submission is now open.
Call for Papers:
Any research project performed during your undergraduate degree, on any
topic within the study of linguistics and English language. Talks are
expected to be around 15 minutes long, though if you think you’ll require a
longer/shorter amount of time let us know via the comments section of the
Abstracts should be submitted for review to our Google Form.
This may well be your first time presenting at a conference – it will be an incredibly valuable and worthwhile experience, and given you’ll be speaking to other students in the same situation as you, it’s a great way to get feedback and develop your work and yourself!
Final deadline for abstract submission is 26 February 2012.
